Yeah was a great day! My car needs a wash too though. Luckily the colour hides dirt in photos.

Chris - you use a pattern to cut it or just went to town and hoped for the best?

Looks like you guys had alot of fun

Hahaha I had to start laughing seeing the MX5 just scream through on the inside, I'm surprised it made mincemeat of a GTS-T? Gives me confidence for Taupo. Aiming to piss all over my Mk3 GTI's measly time.

Im really glad i wasnt in the car with kieran when he almost killed an altezza driver. Reccommend to everyone to head to track days! Even as a passenger it was so much fun! Even when we go off track and almost die.

Changed the engine oil today, first time I've ever done it by myself. Was pretty straightforward but still feeling proud! :D

Heres a protip for you if you ever change the gearbox oil:

The fill plug is tapered, thats why it wont screw in all the way. Found that out after an impressive amount of swearing.

Not yet I hope, I've got to do the brakes next, then I would like to take it to Ruapuna sometime.

Would be a great time to upgrade to 1.8's if you don't have them ;)

I'm considering it, cost would be the major factor. Will need to do a bit more research. :)

Nice seats btw!

I ordered the parts from USA. Check the thread about good suppliers, I think I posted a link in it. About $120NZD landed iirc

Yesterday I refit the repaired thermostat housing; reassembled the engine and refilled the coolant.
Unfortunately there was still another leak. Removed 1 end of the top radiator hose and pressurised the system with dad watching for leaks.
Turns out the new tee piece hadn't worked and the housing had a tiny crack in it and the fitting going into the radiator/waterpump return pipe was corroded out as well. :(

Going to be getting replacement parts from Mazda today. This is getting expensive...

If those are the same momo seats I think they are Snap, they are horrible. Big steel bar along the front that digs into your legs. Too deep to, they nearly swallow you.

They are indeed. They're bottom mount, fit on factory rails and are not a bad design. Biggest sad is that theyre farked. Emailed the guy saying I would pass..

i don't know why anyone goes for the momo t frame seats.
Almost any side mount seat will mount onto the factory runners and be a waaaay better seat
