Thanks feels good to finally have a car I can show off. I'll pass on that wing, its a bit huge. I think I'll be going for a TougeRun style spoiler anyway.
Just a quick question, the trackday I'm going to, do you guys reckon this bar will be fine? Its a bolt-in bar too.. (sorry I know I'm whoring pictures all over the place, only way I can show you guys, last one, I promise)

Nice pictures.
I will be honest, get a new bar. I'm sure they will let you on.. but that bar will not do jack.
Get a 4 point bar. I think Kieran (Furai) has had one made up. Talk to him =]

You will have to have a talk to the track organisers. Some of those are actually pretty strong but personally I wouldnt trust it.
This is the one I got made up. Not super cheap though. 44mm MSNZ spec Rollbar. You can get a bolt in Cusco for about $700, this would be a similar price but shop around and get a solid quote. Mine was slightly cheaper because I did all the stripping of the interior and that.
Also this is welded in. Bolt in is for virgins as Bwarp would say.

How verticle is the main hoop?
Why haven't you gone for any diagonals or horizontal?

But, the hoop goes to the floor,
like a proper one should, and instantly that must restrict seat positioning.
But, his seat Is mounted to the floor, so that helps anyway..
I'm just about getting mine done too,
But it's getting diagonals and harness bar...

Diagonals can be added later if wanted, I wasnt keen on the restriction to rear view to be honest.
Main loop is not vertical, has a slight outwards stance at the bottom.
Also Corded Bowl, Ill race ya

Tried repairing the tee piece on the thermostat housing but couldnt fit the drill in to make the larger hole for the tap so have had to disassemble half the motor to get the housing out.
After removing the housing and drilling the new hole we found out that ive been provided with a intermediate tap when i needed a starter one.
Dads hopefully going to try find the correct one for me tomorrow

It's called a primary tap. I probably got one in my kit if you luck out. Is it M10 x125? Primary first then intermediate and then plug tap. FYI.Kerosene is a good cutting fluid for alloy

Nice for some reason I never thought you had a rollbar, yeah definitely weld in bar. I've been given pricing of $700-$800 for a bar similar to yours, with some diagonal bars, weld-in and clears a hardtop too.
Tax refund is on its way, so should have myself a new bar then. I'd rather spend some money and stay alive than give myself a new haircut via tarmac.

oh crap too late now holes already been drilled, someone told me to go 1/4" BSP.
Ah well, biggers normally better

theres definitely enough meat left in the housing to take a 1/4 fitting

You can get a threaded reducer from engineering supplier if need be. Easier when ithey both BSP. Could try Waitemata Hydraulics. Auckland Engineering Supplies. Paykels etc. dependsvwhere you are located. Use the phone first....

bsp fittings are sized by the inner diameter of the hose. so the threads are always MUCH bigger than what youd think. a 1/8" bsp thread is about 10mm actual size. for reference i used a 1/8" bsp fitting for the dual feed fuel rail mod
