I agree. I was talking to one of the guys on the Link stand at the speed show last weekend and it has a lot of features I would like but I think I am stuck with my LEM for the time being.

Nice, I just had a look at the price now due to the currency conversion at the moment they are very good value. The coated skirts look interesting I am trying to get the specific data for the turbo type pistons +1 mm oversize.
I am not sure of the differences compared to the normal spec'ed Wiseco pistons???
I notice they are 2mm over sized in your set up, how much "meat" have you left in the cylinder walls??

To be honest I haven't measured it but hopefully the engine shop checked it before they bored the block. There seems to be plenty of meat there judging from the success of FM's stroker kits. Haven't had any problems so I think it will be OK.
Just fitted some new cams and had the car on the dyno today. Got another 10hp at the wheels and shifted the peak point up a few hundred rpm. Plus I still have more power at red line than I had before fitting the cams.
if you have time, I will be in Palmy next month for Targa, drop down to the square and say hi.

Oh ok you have the stroker kit aswell, awesome stuff. Yes I will be in town on that day. I will come on down to the square for a chat for sure.
Yes machinists are normally pretty good at checking clearances. ! 10 whp from cam tuning is pretty impressive, The best results of any topside work I have seen or heard of are usually done on the revised '99 model 1.8 cylinder head due to the ideal port angles and shape.
Last week I adjusted the exhaust cam timing on my vehicle and am smiling over the shear change in power and drivability.
FM IAT sensor is now on Trade me.

No, unfortunately the budget didn't run to the stroker, just the big bore. Ended up with about 1929cc.
Yes the 99 head certainly helps. I believe there is more power to be gained by knocking out part of the intake plenum that separates the 2 chambers for the VICs system but that will have to wait until I get some more detail on what is involved.
When I had the head done the guy who did it was really impressed with the flow. Can 't remember what the numbers were though. Although I am still normally aspirated, it certainly explains why they work well with FI though.
Have also gone to Toyota COPs and a coolant reroute.
