fabric vs leather seats
hi everyone, so poison suggested I get your opinions. I am going to have the seats in my 1997 mx5 recovered and am getting conflicting arguments on leather vs. fabric. my understanding of leather in the mx5 is that it gets unbelievable hot in summer and hard to sit on (since I have the roof down most of the time) so, fabric or leather people? another suggestion I had was to try and find NC seats and have them put in?

lol disturbing!
I think I'll go with the fabric front, spent a bit of time checking out other forums and it appears that a number of people in the UK have gone back to fabric from leather
I assume it'd be a good idea to have the vinyl back to prevent excessive fading on the rear of the headrest?

You appear to have deduced the correct answer for your needs.... I agree that leather is hot, sweaty and slippery at times. Fabric is much nicer to touch. It feels warmer in winter and cooler in summer, it is easy to clean also. Its easier to sew so should be cheaper to purchase and cover. It is easier to find different shades of whatever colour you are after. I would go fabric if it were my car.
