I have decided to tint the rear window of my Black Hardtop. It is non heated. Can anyone recomend a quality applicator in Auckland and a ballpark figure if anyone has had this done recently

Car Folie, a-ha, useless, they're just up the road from the 2low2c workshop so very convenient for me, recently I wrote them 2 times, as you can see for yourself beneath, in December to glenfield@carfolie.co.nz with zero response, nada nothing zip a complete waste of my time, they'll never get a cent of my money, I would try somewhere else as a result of my experience(s).
When people write, asking for a price for 2 x MX5 (top of the range) tinting jobs, I would suggest that you're best to respond.
Last car I had done was a 'liner by tint-a-car & they did a perfect job, I asked for something special, they obliged, I got a good deal (for folding) and they re-did a quarter panel on the spot a few days later that I was only 99% happy with, they'll be doing my blue MX5 shortly.

Mr. Shine wrote:Car Folie did the sides of my S2000. If I had a glass rear window I'd have had them do that too. Not sure how much they'd charge (can't remember how much I paid, but I had a voucher deal at the time) but I've had no complaints and their service was great.

I dealt with their branch in Newton or Kingsland or somewhere around there from memory, which I understand has moved to Fanshawe Street, so I couldn't comment on the Glenfield branch.
*shrug*
I figure it's always worth calling a place if I'm fussed enough about getting something done. I only email places when I'm prepared to not get my knickers in a twist about not getting a reply afterwards

Thought I had posted update on this. Probably elsewhere but as there is a lack of Easter reading.... Here goes again.
Got charged $120 and super happy with job.
I remember now.... Did post and well spotted by Siren that I detinted windows. Here are some other shots of the process. I took roof off as limited access behind style bar.
They cut the film and place on outside of window and heat it to shrink it to shape and then wet it and apply it to the inside of glass. They use the heat gun to keep glue soft and squeeze air put with a soft plastic type scraper.
