Loved it until I dropped it about 2 weeks back

Personally, I'd go for a 100mm next time, I find the 60mm good on the crop however I'm always a TINY bit short. Was considering a tamron 90mm to replace my 60.. Need a new body however

Loving these photos. Siren I'd call myself ameteur too. Your photos look fine. The only tip I have for you is to straighten your horizons in Photoshop. Can do so much for a slightly crooked shot. I think I have that same pic of the city... I got in trouble for taking mine too, only that I was in the navy base at the time hahaha

I feel like a rookie after seeing how your photos are better than mine... I use a point and click Nikon waterproof one because I know I like to get messy when I drink... (Yep, that's wine everyones throwing)

Angreal, that bike picture is actually pretty cool, point and shoots can sometimes get the best photos because they're always with you compared to a heavy ass DSLR.
I consider myself a rookie as well though, but I'll share a couple of my shots. 650D with basic 18-35 & 70-250 kit. Buying more as I go though.

Re: siren's city pic.
The stories behind the photos are always interesting. That was a good night. 80km drive on a Friday night. Ended up breaking down just north on the Auckland harbour bridge.
Apparently it's a good time to take photos..

Funny I haven't noticed this thread!
Shooting with a Nikon D600 with 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.8 and 80-200mm f/2.8. Just picked up a 2x teleconverter for very cheap too, which should be fun.
Not
particularly into shooting cars but I'm trying to get more automotive event photography in.
You can see more at
EMP Photography.
Few of my more recent shots:

Looking through these makes me really want to get a new camera body, 1100D isnt the sharpest thing in the world and I just spent a little too much on new glass

I Haven't really strayed much from racing / drifting...

Cheers guys! Try to keep some variety going in what I shoot but seem to keep going back to Auckland Zoo

I don't know dude, a lot of people suggest glass long before body! Check out the
Flickr 1100D group (that's a link

) to see what people can do with an 1100D!
Only reason I went for a D600 was because I knew the next upgrade would be years away because of price, and if I went for something like a D7000 or D7100 I'd be looking to upgrade in another couple of body releases because crop bodies are generally fairly affordable
Also worth mentioning that post-processing can make a lot of difference in adding sharpness, contrast and colour depth, too.

I love to shoot a bit of film too! Have a couple of rolls developed, scanned and ready for pick up now, actually. Waiting for payday to afford paying for them though
