TehAshleigh wrote:Random question :- im looking at Raybrig headlights for my car, specifically rectangular ones. But with me being as fussy as i am - i only like the height and width of the 180sx Raybrig lights. Has anyone attempted to fit these to an mx5 and would i have to have custom surrounds made? My friend is selling some cheap.

Any help is appreciated!!

Doubtful.

Either buy them and expect a lot of fab work. Or don't be as fussy..

Ahahaha haha love you too. Id rather be fussy and 100% happy with a mod. it's all for doing what you love with your car I guess. I live with a 180 owner that has raybrigs.. Maybe ill pull his out one day and see. Otherwise!! The search continues....=)

I guess if it measures up fine I can't imagine the fab work to be too extensive right? (I have no idea what lights you're on about btw so my opinion is pretty moot =P)

@TehAshleigh - In regards to doing a DIY low profile headlamp conversion, it all really comes down to how confident you feel with your fabrication skills and how patient and persistent you are. My best advice would be to google "DIY mx5 miata low profile headlamp conversion" and spend a decent amount of time reading about the process so you know exactly what is involved. I will be honest, it seems to be reasonably tricky.

Yeah, I wouldn't be fabricating it myself, I'd probrably take it to a friend. I've always wanted to do something with the lights, but I'm not a fan of the typical sleepy eye kits. Would be great to look it up in more detail - great way to learn more about everything. Thanks heaps! I'll let you know if anything comes of it =)

Changed the music for CordedBowl.

Well, this was all from the AM session. It was all wet and icy and whatnot and (insert more generic excuses).

In the PM session I ended up running a 38 second run. Not to bad for my first attempt (I don't think anyway!)

Gymkhana was a good bit of fun, was running 35s in the afternoon. Me and a mate in his 180SX were having some fun after and had a little love tap.

I don't think it's from stretch, it is a 195 55 on a 8j

I think that it was simply a leak, the psi went down then POP

Ah fair enough, for some reason I thought you had stretched tyres. I've gotta stop talking shite and get out there with you guys, I've got spare tyres waiting for a thrashing after all.

Yes, you do!

I am running stretch, I mean 195/55 on an 8j isn't crazy stretch but it is stretch none the less.

Just get your ass out this Saturday! :D
