:x Damnit, got excited over some 15' Volk CV Pro's in 4x100. In the comments he answers me with 4x114.3 but I don't think he realises thats the stud pattern.

So if my ones got ~80hp with manual trans, yours would have had maybe 40hp with an auto and with the removal of the vents that gives you a total of 20hp at the rears :P

So today I thought I would add some more class back into my car after looking like a race machine the past few weeks.

First step was to cut up the main panel for the parcel shelf, fine tooth hacksaw blade made this easy and looks quite clean but will be covered by carpet anyway.
Image

Image

Next I put the carpet in so I could put tape to mark where to cut, this is a little hard you just have to take your time and trim little bits.
Image

Image

Bought some brand new tin snips for $9 at Mitre 10 as I wanted a clean blade. Works great and cuts real nice. Got them cut pretty well, not perfect but a few mm off.

Done!

very nice n' tidy job :)
have you considered giving that surface rust on the parcel shelf a little bit of etch primer or something? just to stop it spreading.

I seem to have blown a weld on my intake manifold? My floor pan went flying behind me?

Just kidding.

El Cheapo Chris strikes again. I decided (last year) to buy one of the cheap Boss Hub kits off of Trademe last year (brand new from a performance company) I get it on and Oh dear, the bloody thing has cracked at the spline! Also, it is now stuck on.. Anyone want to offer me a ride to tomorrows meet.. lol

I have a few Works Bell ones which are nice but $200 a pop brand new. I never actually got the stock one undone on the centre nut so I just use that.

Would changing it have any advantages over the factory part?

Other than aesthetic? Nope.

I have a Eunos factory wheel that needs to go!

Ah, mine, and most I've seen have come with Momo or Nardi wheels from factory. I was wondering if there were any advantages in that case, such as leg clearance.

This has been and done and I think a few of you might have seen it.
But this is the size difference between the 1.8 and the 1.6 diff units.

We also found out that the 1600 axles are smaller then a 1300 Starlet...

I'd think that the axles would break before the crown wheel & pinion.

Sooo I got my RS*R Manifold thanks to Luke

Original
Image

All studs were good no issues, just WD40 and a warm engine.
Image

Comparison to stock, look how the pipes going into the collector are crushed!
Image

Couple little pebbles I pulled out
Image

Got them in with a little fiddling
Image

Done! Well the headers part anyway.
Image

Put all the AFM back in, Really need to get the ITBs in the airbox hides the RS*Rs!
Image

They do feel a bit better but I need to get new cat and the rest done before I really feel it I think.

Went to a trackday and they gave me an extra 5Kmh down the end of the straight. Was a bit wet on and off but good fun!
