Your car was getting up over the hill like a boss! What size tires you on?

Thanks man! 185/55/15 on my 8J Roders, the 6 speed makes the biggest difference! They were Potenzas though so quite grippy but worked pretty well!

Hahaha holy shit that was close.

Finally got around to installing my coilovers. Sitting a wee bit higher than I want them so I'll drop them a tiny bit before I get an alignment/cert.

Looks good authentic !

Kasey that wing pretty cool, you should mount it like the old group C cars did!

Also I cant decide between your wheels...

I liked the Gramlights, but the gold didn't look very good on a silver car, these wheels go well with the silver and don't make the CF look so dorky. Jesus dished wheels get dirty easily though!

I'd love to have the Gramlights painted the same colour we painted these ones, but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon!

Yeah I guess so, the Gram lights made it very different though I liked the contrast.

Corded, just to warn you.

You SHOULD fail a WoF for a wing that is wider than the vehicle. Also cannot cert it.

Mine is 20mm narrower than the body :P

just to let you know it is illegal on the track to have a spoiler wider than the car according to the manz book

Sheet!

Edit: Oh well, we will modify it to suit, it's just for a bit of fun on trackdays.

As this is the general MX5 chat thread, I will post something general. I don't think this needs a write up. It is a bumper cut, I can send you the basics via PM if you need.

Also blew my radiator to pieces on Sunday!

RaceChrono. May pay to have a bluetooth GPS reciever too for most accurate results, because you can record your racing line too.

totally off topic, but I had a chance meeting at work this weekend...

I was having lunch sitting in my car when an elderly couple approached. I was expecting the usual "what a nice car, I have always wanted one of these" (it would seem that the MX5 is the dream car for retired people)

The gentleman walked up and said "I like what you have done.... this is my old car"

OMFGWTFBBQ!

The lady I purchased the car from told me it was owned by a classic car collector and it all true. We had a fascinating discussion about the history of the car and I thanked him for all the good care he took of her whilst he was looking after her.

its a small world huh? 8)
