I am using the jaycar set in my car and considering its heading into winter you really want them working to avoid the whole drama of fumbling with keys when its pissing down.
I didn't use the supplied remote tho'..... instead mine is connected up to my AVS alarm.
either way, if your car doesn't have central locking then I highly recommend you to consider it.

Sorted a hardtop for the missus car the other night

So spent some time today perfecting the adjustment. Of course then I had to test drive it. Twice.
Then decided that seeing as she is in the UK for a month I might test drive it for a month.....
Looking in the back with the soft top folded away got me to wondering how on earth do people fit a cage and keep the soft top? Seems it folds down everywhere you'd want to put back stays!

Um, it's night time under lights
But that is it's good side. The L/F has been dinged at some point and they used bog to fix it which has since cracked
It's hard to notice but once you see it..... And it has the typical slightly different shade of red nose cone.
But yeah it is pretty tidy for a red one! Is kept in a garage and gets polished.

Got a call from mazda to say my coolant hoses were in today.
Got them home and started fitting them, the ones around the throttle body were complete pricks to get on properly, almost needed to hire someone with small hands to fit them.
Replaced the stupid factory clamps with some screw type ones.
Also replaced the radiator hoses while i was at it.
Fingers crossed it doesnt leak tomorrow when i fill it back up

I was beside a black car on southern motorway north bound other day. It exited at Ellerslie. It had a twin pipe setup which may have been a bit smaller in diameter to your sample pic. I thought it looked funky as. I'd go twin myself

Filled the coolant up today and took it for a drive, parked it up when i got home then checked on it a few hours later to see the garage floor soaked.
Looks like SLYDIT was right on the money, the brass tee off the thermostat housing was leaking a bit and sheered off when i touched it

SLYDIT wrote:I'd also have a good look at the little brass tee that comes off the thermostat housing they tend to fail also. Pretty easy to drill and tap a 1/8" fitting in there to replace it.

I have these. You dont want to remove the housing as its a major.
Easy drill and tap and off you go.
Remove the main rad fan if you need a bit more room.

1991 NA6 Mariner Blue with a twist of BP
Waterpipe.
Engineers and brass fittings, pressure testing each one and a run of 30 of these are not cheap, although compared to the work to remove the front of the engine or to buy a new lower thermostat housing its not to bad.

Dont knock them as i have found they seal better especially after a long period due to them being constantly sprung around the hose.
The trick is to always align the clip with the pattern on the hose as it was removed...or better still use a new hose with it and of the correct size.
Screw type ones have to periodically be checked for tightness while the factory clips are [spray & walk-away}!
