Thanks again for the tips.
Yeah I get the whole "noob" thing on Miata Turbo, but searching reveals far more prejudice and stupidity than useful information. The useful stuff might be there, but there's only so much crap about gays and anal sex that I can tolerate! I sort of have the attitude that if you wouldn't say it to a person's face, then don't say it online.
I think we lose sight of the fact that it's not all straight white men out in the real world any more than it is in here. There are women too - and not all of us are straight!

Unfortunately about 99% of the internet don't follow that sort of thinking.
I think some of us just make a joke or two about each other because it comes with the territory owning an MX5, you get the mouth breathers that call you names because you drive a car thats more fun for a quarter the price of theirs

Yes, this is true. I have a terrible confession to make. Years ago a large and manly friend of mine wanted a convertible. I encouraged him to buy an MX5 and then teased him mercilessly about it. He quickly sold it and bought a V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I feel very bad, but to make up for it, I've converted two sons and my father to MX5 ownership!

Yep, both my brothers made fun of me, drove it, now they want one. They're an infectious car.

When he left his parklights on and his battery went flat we told him not to run his hairdryer without the engine running. That was the end of it for him!

Sorry - don't know what happened with that post - the first part went missing - about a big brute friend who was encouraged to buy an MX5 then teased mercilessly!
