Would we be able to order from different places and plan to send them all in the one container? Different people want different bars as above, Hard Dog, Brown Davis and those Blackbird Fabworx bars.
Keen.

Any idea what the reduction in shipping/or total price of a HardDog Deuce would be?

As long as you planning on giving it to him for Xmas next year. Allow at 2-3months for stuff coming in via a container.

Hey Donavan- Would you mind putting a picture up of your rollbar? I just rang Don and he has one of the double cross braced models built which is the same as yours (?) I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like :)

Snapfrozen, any progress on the bars you are looking to get made up?

That helps :) Can I be a pain in the bum and ask for one without the hardtop on, looking directly from the back?

Also, it seems you don't have a softop, but any idea how much a PITA trying to raise the softop is with those cross braces?
Cheers

Confirmed shipping price for Blackbird Fabworx bars is $600 a piece. Sorry for not replying to PM's. For some gay ass reason my phone won't let me.

Bar construction (as per Matt's prev post about rollbars) will not begin any time very soon, so if you need one, it will be a month or 2 away affair I believe. However, you'll end up with a bolt/weld in bar of similar quality/design to these others for less than the shipping cost alone of some of them. I'll be the crash test dummy (Not literally) to test fitting in my car and we will go from there.

I'm also looking at running off 1 run of laser cut side brackets for hard tops (Torx screws in top and sides so they're harder to steal) and will be low profile as fark. Will get a price per unit in Dec/Jan :)

Will be down as for a rollbar, a month or 2 away seems like a good amount of time to save up some money

Yes you are a pain in the bum, but since I am such a nice guy, did it anyway, so here is the photo.

As noted, don't know much of a pain it would be trying to raise the softop backup as I don't have one, but I would imagine it would be a 2 handed job and a bit of twisting around in the seat. Dropping it still easy.

We'll be test fitting it on mine which has a hard top, no soft top in though. You are welcome to shoot past once we've got them made up (Pending interest/$$) and test fit it in an NB
If the design is a copy of the BlackBird GT3 bar, then it should be compatible (according to here: http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=455542)

I'm keen but would like a bit more info:
- What dia tubing are you going to use?
- I know you've indicated these won't be started immediately, but what is the ball park for having one made up and test-fitted? Feb? or later than that?
- Are the gussets going to be part of the build or are these overkill?
- Do the bars come painted?
Cheers

Coming in a couple of months later on this thread I know but I just got a price for bringing ocean freight items USA to NZ

Greetings,

Thanks for the inquiry! We appreciate your interest in Shannon Express.

We have a 1 cubic meter / 300 lb minimum for ocean freight. The minimum charge would be $647.00 door to port Christchurch. Rates are subject to reweigh and dimensional corrections. Transit time is 4-6 weeks.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is ready to assist with your shipping needs! If you have any questions or are ready to schedule a pickup, please email info@shannonexpress.com or call us at 800-755-1001. Thanks!

This is for pickup from a residence. I have a location in Seattle that items can be delivered to for combining.

Damn shipping is a lot

I guess for something so easily made following up on Snapfrozens lead isn't such a bad idea? I'd like something along the design of that BlackBird GT3 bar.

Long story short, both Matt and I have been really busy, as has the chap with the skills. I need mine by June, so I'll ask him to jig it in case ;)
