What sort of wiggle? I have practically every brace available on my car ;) I don't have the supercharger up and running yet as I'm lazy so I don't have the wiggle sensation you mentioned

What diff are you running? Also had an alignment? What sort of suspension setup and what year car(Year determines stock bracing).

Possibly suspension related? The braces just made everything feel tighter although the shock tower braces didn't seem to do too much but I can feel when they aren't on.

Not sure what the frog arms feel like yet as I haven't driven with them but I'm going to stab in the dark and say it's probably your suspension not coping.

Have a play around with your rear end damping since you have adjustables?

I'd say Allignment issue.

Otherwise lower tie bar :)

And you should have all the factory braces in the car as your car is newer than mine and I have all the factory ones + more. THey put in a butterfly equivalent thing waaay later in the late NBs I believe.

I would check the alignment first as its the cheaper option otherwise some good suspension and a proper roll bar will fix this

This is correct; there should be minimal added effect in terms of rigidity or anti-flex for a shock tower brace on a non-McPherson strut car.

cheers guys..have tein adjustables with the incar dampning controller.
its a 98 first yr NB with torsen diff.
does have some factory bracing in the rear and up front. and a monster roll bar
i guess you feel it a little more when you hit boost and then come off it again.
it does launch prity hard as seems to get the power down really well.
funny you mention the suspension as RH REAR to get ride height needs to be totally uncaptive spring but LH side spring is wound up and captive some.
and opposite to the front as LH uncaptive and RH is captive...had to lower it heaps with the 15s on it and with 17s i had before the springs were never un captive but were wound out differently like now.
seems to handle good and wonder if springs have gone soft and need checking?

Have had an alignment only a couple hundred ks ago..but needs another as now got the 15s on it.

do have the dampning quite soft on rear..still firm tho as teins so might firm it up and see if it makes any difference.

The shimmy reduces the more you stiffen up the chassis although mine still has a slight shimmy above 120 but much less than when i first bought the car. The butterfly brace and rollbar reduced it along with the hardtop

Nope, only on the skidpad  Sadly the car doesn't go very fast atm :p In fact, can't even turn over the engine which should hopefully be resolved tomorrow

So it's the car struggling to get the power down because you're losing traction?

Clean up your act guys. 120 kph? Loss of traction. This is unacceptable.

I know... At the very least you need to be on 3 wheels when doing the above

Anyway, back on topic of braces... I can't believe how much rubbish is collected on the panel in front of the doors. Pulled it off to pop in the Frog Arms (still gutted they aren't lime green anymore :() and sooo much filth fell onto the garage floor.

It didn't seem that great but probably because the car came with all the stock braces. Just made gear changes ultra smooth
