Performance times

Post by warrior » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:41 pm

Has anyone out there ever done any timing of there modified MX5? I have just done a supercharger install in my 1991 1.6 and I am going to clock some times to see what change it has made.

The easiest to do is the 0-100km which is what I will be starting with. Then I will move onto some in gear times.
From the books I have the NA 1.6 ran around 9.2 to 10 secounds to 100km. So I will be saying it is an average of 9.6.

I will be doing it this week so will post my figures but would love anyones numbers to compare it to.

I hope this does not open a can of worms just wanting to know how much faster my car is with the mild changes.

haven't timed mine, but been head to head with a new C63 AMG Merc and was quicker, and they have a 0-100 time of 4.5, luckily it was one of the few times I got the launch right.

I have just bought an app for my i phone that measures performance figures for your car. I,m sure its not 100% accurate but from the reviews seems to be quite good.

Will go for a couple of runs and let you guys know.

With the data logging on my emanage I can get a 0-100 by checking the datalog timescale against the rpm at 100.

What it's actually capable of compared to what the driver did. Still impressive!

Crap run for me was a low 9, its hard holding the camera and driving. Launched badly and short shifted.

Took this back at a Meremere day but forgot to upload.
