I think you need 5 or 10 posts under your belt before they let you post photos.

Thanks for the reply. Failing all else, I have my Trademe auction running with 20 photos there. Mazda MX5 V8 powered!!!! 1998
Closes: Mon 28 Jan 9:00 pm (#552671264)
Those who have crawled over my car have all given very positive comments on the workmanship. The comment "Why stop now?" has been a common one too. Simply I need to concentrate on other things right now.
Cheers, Firedog.

I know that feeling... I feel like I've hit the wall with the car as everything is on the garage rather than in the car  Although I can't give up now. Hopefully anything else I buy is simple to install oh and good luck with the sale

how did you get the rx7 hubs on?

are you using the mx5 uprights with a machined spacer and caliper adapter brackets?
or are you using the rx7 knuckles and mounting the 4pots and hubs to them?

could you email me some pictures of the knuckle/hub/brake setup?

coleandkate@gmail.com

cheers mate

Or if you don't mind, post them up here. Looking at doing an FX/FD hub or brake swap

20 photos on Trademe as noted above. This MX5 Forum site does not seem to let me post photos yet. RX7 LSD went in to sub-frame with little problem Used Rx7 axles and turned 0.5mm approx off a diameter to accept Mx5 hub bearings. RX7 standard rear brake setup. Front caliper adaptor plate somewhat more tricky. Will forward photos off line.

The bit that confuses me is why nobody has scooped this gem up already! A year of my retirement went into the build!!!! Just component cost recovery is my wish [ and I paid trade or wholesale for almost all the bits]
Cheers,M.
