Donovan wrote:My original plan was to do a rotary conversion, I have had a few 1st Gen RX7's, and never really got into the 2nd or 3rd Gen, and that's why I got an MX5, as they reminded me a lot of my RX7's (if only I could have found a fastback, that would have been as close as replacement as you could get).

But then I thought, had a few rotary's, never had a V8, let's try something different.
Bet you've also never set your brakes on fire prior to this one? A feisty red mx5 with a bite... She's a keeper

The ONLY thing that puts me off is I keep reading you need to cut the firewall. That and I don't know how to work an engine that goes round and round not up and down

Didn't know about having to chop up the firewall and agreed on the "how's this work?" Aspect of the rotary.

How often do you head to the tracks snapfrozen? I think I'd like to bump into you one of these days as I'm sure it'd be interesting and I'd learn a lot from you. And donovan for his vast experience with fixing stuff...

My knowledge of fixing stuff is bugger all, but I am having to learn a lot real quick with my car. 2LOW2C or Keith Jones are way better ones to talk to

Unfortunately haven't been to the track in about 12 months. Broke my leg quite badly (Which is why I sold my civic) and after I finished rehab, didn't have a car worth taking.

Until the roadster  Learned everything from being a noob and following advice from the interwebs and people who were faster than me around corners

As for fixing, when I bought my civic, I couldn't change my oil. Did the hub swap, brakes, engine, gearbox, plenty of DIY stuff, learned to weld somewhere in between, an exhaust etc on my own. Dad taught me what I couldn't work out on my own

Stop showing me wheels that cost over $4000 even before shipping!!
They look to good and might convince me sell to an organ

Looks like it might just be a standard FC rx7 seat. Could be a good upgrade in our cars without going fixed back
