Harlan would be proud. Just put the hardtop away for the summer. Well that and it allows easy access into the car for some work I intend to do.

Finished installing my Torsen, Isnt too bad on you considering I was by myself and my car was only 400mm off the ground.
Drives great! 4.1 makes the speedo correct too. Accelerates real well out of corners and chirps tyres doing a U-Turn.

the place that did my clutch said they could weld the diff for me
Would changing to a heavier oil work?

To my understanding the Viscous unit is sealed from the actual oil for the diff gears since its a different type of fluid.
I was told going to a thicker oil helps but not much. But I got a Torsen (^-^)/

Ah ok. Looks like my next decision will be coilovers or torsen. Probably have to go diff first as ill have to get a cert for the coils
Where'd you get your one from?

Mazline Christchurch, I think the diff is better choice as you can drive around the suspension(Weight shift helps)

Haha not when you have been using a Viscous!

You can apparently tighten up a viscous to lock up sooner and chirp the tyres on a tight turn, but apparently from what I have read/heard about that the viscous are generally set for more of a gentler lockup. Have been told this is one of the things that also cause them to overheat on the track, as they allow for more slippage, creating more friction, and overheat with track work. Tightening them up helps them run cooler on the track.

How does one tighten a viscous LSD, Donovan?
Been doing some googling and cant find a scrap of decent info on it. Keen to tighten mine and see how long before it blows, then find a torsen or get proper mechanical cusco LSD or something.

Beats me, this is just conversations I have with places in regards to what I can do with my diff, but then again I run a Holden diff in mine. But a number of the places that deal with Holden racecars said that they can tighten up the LSD on my viscous unit, and limit the amount of slip, which in turn giving the lockup in the rear when turn a tight corner.
They also said for the Holden LSD can put an external oil coiler on it, which also gives it another litre of oil for it as well.

I am FAR from knowledgeable on the subject, but I would guess they mean shimming the diff to tighten it. At least that's what all the skyrine guys do
