Adjustable Camber Arms

Post by halberd » Tue Aug 21, 2012 3:37 pm

Has anyone had any experience with these, or similar?

Are they ok, or should I run away?

I purchased these from redline 2+ years ago.

Went to install them, didn't fit. The width of the arms where they attach to the body was too narrow, and the hole in the piece that bolts to the hub was too close and couldn't fit.

They happily refunded my money, the guy then asked me to take a whole heap of measurements so he could get them sorted and re-supply them.

I took all sorts of measurements and pics, sent them away, followed with a number of emails, never heard anything back.

From memory the ones I purchased were about $200. So maybe they have had them corrected this is why they cost more?

I guess you could buy them and try, like I said they happily refunded my money as they didn't fit.

mmm i've been looking for camber arms too.

Been told it's ok to just slot your rear upper arm mounting holes where they bolt to the hub to dial more or less camber.

I wouldn't be keen to slot it, surely it wouldn't hold very well, and would be a pain if it slipped, am considering welding an extension to mine, but I'm worried the added traction would put too much strain on the drivetrain

i brought a set form dodsons that were a different brand (shangi racing or something i think) and had the same issues as last_resort14 so sent them back too
and i hear if you go real low they hit the chassis due to their shape
my plan was to get some offset bushes to take some camber out

Went through 3 sets of camber arms for my EG and all 3 failed within 2 weeks. Told them they were for a race application. Gave up, bought another brand and did over 15000 km's on them
