Yeah. Can't do a 13B turbo (13B is okay, not the turbo) mod because the car is too light and falls outside the safe power:weight (I think that it completely rules out Donovan's car, and most definitely the 700hp turbo V8Mr. Shine wrote:Remember that Australia is ridiculously strict with car modifications, so you may need to change things to keep it road legalchris wrote:Slowly planning a move to aussie.. Of course it could also just be a great track car

Yup! I have seen that :/ Although after a bit of research, it seems easier to do all modifications over here, and then bring it over...Mr. Shine wrote:Remember that Australia is ridiculously strict with car modifications, so you may need to change things to keep it road legalchris wrote:Slowly planning a move to aussie.. I have been talking to a guy in Aus who has done the LS1 conversion, and can't get it road legal, so he just uses it as a trackday/gymkhana car (he was surprised that mine was going to be road legal). Don't know what those guys at Bullet Cars do to get their Lexus conversions road registered over there, apart from make them look butt ugly.Angreal wrote:Yeah. Oh I actually did something on the car this weekend just gone. Finally got the catback installed but haven't got the cat in yet (piping was a bit long and the flanges a bit wide at one bit). Makes the car sound quieter with more room for exhaust gases to escape
Well quieter until the intake opens up which I have discovered is the noisy bit on my car (to be replaced with a stealth FFS post Exhintake).

Got my suspension dampening all set up. Need to road test it now.
Pulled my drivers seat out and took a shit load of foam out of it. Heaps more bucketier, but still no fixed back seat...
The saving continues to buy race seats for the roadster.

The top of the seat padding and a chunk of the backrest. Plenty of readme guides out there but the gist is:
Remove seats
Remove hog ties
Lift off the cover
Chop up an inch or 3 of foam
Put cover back on
Cable tie covers back on
Reinstall seats and voila. The other guides have pictures and are less vague

Pics of your ride height would be helpful.Furai wrote:I will have to post up some pics of my Tein springs for Siren tonight. I took some pics and she is lower but has the perfect wheel gap around the guard now.
Does make me wonder how it did so well at Gymkhana considering how fudged the shocks were
Also Torsen arrived today but I missed the delivery
Although i'm not going to continue messing with springs as I cant be bothered removing the struts again.
Will only remove them again to fit some coilovers which will probably be next month if i start saving.
Where'd you get your torsen from?

I shoved a screwdriver up the drain tubes under my car and got delicious insect and dirt juice all down my arms (and my covered carport which I now need to hose out, dammit).
The right hand side one drains straight through now, the passenger side one is still totally blocked and water just comes out the holes by the jack stands.
Can anyone recommend how to fix this? I assume the drain tube is just blocked somewhere in the middle where my screwdriver can't reach. I'm reluctant to poke a metal wire or something down it for fear of scratching the paint to the metal and letting it start to rust
Edit: I found a thin garden hose and shoved it down the top of the drain hole, and unfortunately removed the drain house. It had to be removed anyway because a massive rock was throughly lodged in the bottom of it against the flap and it took me 15 minutes to dislodge. Now I need to get the drain hose back in, which I can't do with one arm (broken elbow
