Possible Group Buy

Post by punkoutnz » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:26 pm

Hey team, I'm looking at buying some stuff from www.miataroadster.com for my new engine, figured I might ask if anyone else is keen for some bits so we can put it all together and save on some shipping. They do quite a bit for MX5s so if there's short shifters or the likes you're after, now might be the time to look into it. I'm at least a month away from ordering my pistons so you've got some time to decide what you want to get.

So, anyone keen?

Yeah I'm trying to decide what bits I get. Probably just pistons, rods and a shifter at this stage. That's gonna get most of my engine together. I want the GT2876R turbo they have listed but I think that might be something for later on in the build as it's $1200US on it's own.

Im having a bit of trouble navigating their website. Do they have any intake ducts that replace the indicators/park lights. DTF on some of those. Also potential keen for short shifter.

Short shifter = http://www.miataroadster.com/miataroads ... 63251.aspx

Haven't been able to find those intake vents.

And yeah, I haven't had a reply about a torsional diff from him either, but then it's pretty common to be waiting a few weeks for a reply.

Be quicker to quicker and most likely cheaper just to get them from the US, the places I deal with answer pretty quickly, and for the small stuff it isn't that expensive to ship and usually here in 3 or 4 days.

Yeah! he is a bit painful to deal with but hopefully it all comes right once he has settled in properly at his new premises.

Speaking of Ross, I received a car part in the mail from him so I'm happy. Now to work out how to fit it into the car :D I suspect swearing, hammering and multiple attempts will be involved to get it to how I imagine the finished product will be
