Yeah it would seem to but once the Hardtop is on it goes back to normal, Im still trying to find a rollbar to fit me....Mr. Shine wrote:I think the soft top frame acts as something of an interior brace as well because I thought the same removing my soft top. Just more reason to get a rollbar installed!Furai wrote:Removed the softtop, Feels jumpy with no hard or soft top! Great to have the extra room and less weight!
Well, another track this weekend, and having to use my brother's MX5. Down to Taupo racetrack used my STi (couldn't get the bloody thing on the trailer, too big for it, so had to drive it down) for most of the time, but had one play session at the end of the day with his MX5, most likely had more fun with his car than mine, just not as quick (a lot more squirming around and having to drive it rather than STi). Quickest time I did in STi was a 1.51.7 and the quickest for the MX5 that I did was a 2.06.5. Only two other MX5's down there on the track, on standard NB8C and the other a slightly modified NA with a SR20DET, apparently running 275kw. Went for a blat in that one as a passenger, didn't feel like 275kw, but it was pretty quick, and the driver was fighting to keep the thing on the road, all the while it seem like the car itself was plotting a way to spit us off into the grass. We only timed him when I went for a ride, and the quickest one of that session was a 1.49.2

Looks good Chris, you just need to go a little moar low still te he he
Yesterday w/ the awesome help of 2LOW2C we swapped the CUSCO 6/5k coil-over springs for 8/6k… taking the CUSCO 6k springs which were in the front and popping them into the back and we used the new TEIN 8k springs we got from Keith for the front… driven 100kms since and unfortunately don't think it's yet stiff enough yet but maybe on the new road rubber coming soon which will be a bit higher and wider it might feel ok, I dunno. What I do know is that what would have taken me a whole day (+) got done in probably 60mins actual work time... knowing exactly what to do and being highly practiced meant the job was incredibly simple and straightforward (thanks Paul, legend mate).

Waher bottle mod
I just finished my relocated washer bottle mod- it saves my dump pipe melting it and boiling my washer water-only down-side is i dont have instant hot water for a cuppa now!
At $4.50 it sure beats US$120ish for the Cappuchino one!!
Now all i need to do is get a patent on it. lol.
