$275.

Nah no heat on mine. I just drilled out the end holes a bit bigger so I could use the 10mm bolts in the factory location (you'll know when you see them) then just line up the lip around the bumper edge from there. Took me longer to remove the old lip than it did to fit this one!

Yeah, mine seems to droop a bit to the sides but I think it's plenty flexible to be coaxed into place with the screw holes. I was thinking of picking up some 3M double sided tape for the front edge, but I don't know that I'll bother.

Fixed all my damned rust. Finally.

But now my gearbox is making dumb noises. Not ideal, but to be expected after 235,000kms.....

Cost me a mince and cheese pie and a custard square. Eg, I bought my dad lunch to give me a hand and let me use his tools. All up took a hole day, and took a couple of hours just to get the drivers side guard off. Snapped 3 bolts (they were rusted in) ruined all of the clips for the guard lining, and bought the wrong colour paint (so hard to find british racing green...!).

So yeah - luckily none of it needed new steel welded in, we just wire wheeled it and rust killed it, and primerd it then painted over it in "deep brunswick green". No matter how much it looks like BRG in the pot, its not BRG... god damn it.

We also painted my gas flap in glow in the dark paint.... for lulz....

And re: gearbox noise - its always made noise, but it hasn't always made "this" noise. And its all of a sudden become rather difficut to get into 2nd gear, and it makes shit noises at low RPM in 3rd and 4th....

If your talking about rust in the rear of the sills infront of the rear wheels
then the rust you see is only half the problem, that rust starts from inside the panel so you only see the part that has actually gotten the whole way through the panel from the other side

I'll email you a pic of the rust :) its in the engine bay underneath the oil catch can. Its nothing major, although it is something I'd like to clean up :)
