Hi Guys my name is Mike
Another new member for your ranks.
Bought this car about a month ago, completely unmolested 1990
Some pics of it tonight. (edit guess I cant post them yet)
I have already replaced the coolant, diff oil, trans oil and put a new exedy clutch in it.
Next is pod filter (only cause I was given a very nice HKS one for free)
But wheels and suspension drop first
Front lip and small ducktail style spoiler
Mount a slimline sub I have somewhere
Headers and exhaust at some point (looking for a 4-2-1 set up)
Change the front passenger side arch as there are a couple of small dents and paint loss on that side and a cut and polish/ patching up some scratches on the thing and eventually a roll bar of some sort if required to take it to a fun track day.
I look forward to gaining some knowledge and hopefully being part of the community.
If anyone happens to have any of the parts required by all means send a pm but was more just listing what I was hopping to do with it.

Welcome Mike
Sounds like you've got some good ideas of where you want to go, would be good to see you come along to our next meet/event. Only advice I can give you at the moment is to be wary of pod filters, as in reality you often end up sucking in hot air from inside the engine bay and losing performance. My advice is to just get a replacement factory panel filter to put in the factory air box, as tests have been done showing little difference
As or wheels, make sure you get something lightweight. Very lightweight. Factory NA6 (daisy) alloys weigh in the region of 5kg, with NA8 wheels being slightly lighter. It's actually tricky finding lightweight wheels, even with quality brand wheels
Anyway, welcome again and hope to see you getting social

Cheers, id love to come along but unfortunately i work retail on the weekends so will keep my eye out for more evening meetings!
Yeah im aware of both those points which is why I havent just slapped the pod filter on, im going to get my hands dirty when I have time and find an appropriate place potentially where the current inlet is, I know I wont be popular saying it but combined with a new exhaust I also like the sound.
Luckily the wheels I tend to like the look of seem to be quite light and im realistic about the potential to sacrifice a little performance for looks and id say i'll keep my original wheels for when ever I take it to the track/ xcross etc (as seems to be the trend)
Thanks for the welcome!
