Mine is mostly the same shade of red. I want to source a new rear window moulding for my hard top and possibly paint it black at the same time. Considering just rattle canning the bootlid the same (metallic) black, too

Yeah, I saw your post and it got me considering doing the same to mine, I have some colour match paint I could use, and could probably do with touching up my parcel tray (no soft top) too.

I was really careful when I did it, because i didnt want the underside of my boot being a different color to the outside. So I sprayed a very small area to test it out on

Haha, sorry dude. I'd argue I need it more - my current bootlid has a actory spoiler held on by SCREWS, and I don't want a spoiler anyway!
If you're after a bootlid to play around with, you're welcome to mine free if you want to remove the spoiler and play around with the bare lid? I
think it may originally have been a non-spoiler bootlid. It'll have possibly rusty screw holes on the sides, though :S
That would be sweet, I will either make and paint the boot lid or get a mold off it well see. I just slapped on a $30 autobid and went to eat haha didnt really care.

Yeah, it'll have two rangi screw holes on each side of the bootlid but if you're going to be working on it it'd be easy enough to fill in, and if you're taking a mold from it then they shouldn't be a problem at all. I wouldn't mind fibreglassing a factory bootlid, or one with a built-in lip spoiler.

Yeah, I've been considering it for a while. Toss up between doing dash parts in carbon vinyl/leather/suede/flock.

Last night I wrote up a list of things that I need to do on the car and realised it was rather long... I then gave up and started on the beers. Not looking forward to next month when I need to get it all done before I can get a wof

I'll be picking up a set of Z1 Star Specs tomorrow plus a wheel alignment. Hoping to spray my daisy wheels gun metal or metallic black, and should be picking up some Volk Duralumin wheel nuts too!
Hopefully can get to work on my bootlid this weekend, too!

I got up close and personal with 2 spitfires at Warbirds over Wanaka and the RNZAF airshow. Made me want to get a kitset replica spitfire (cheaper and more newer parts) or the T51 Titan Mustang
