Punctured the wheel arch - how do I get it fixed?
Whilst driving into the garage, I did not notice that my long, outside window brush had been dislodged. The brush was hard against a cupboard and the hosepipe end was angled towards the car.
As I drove in, the hosepipe end has punctured the left front wheel arch (like a spear). There could be a 5-6 cm hole in the wheel arch.
My questions are:
a) If rain (and it will) gets behind the wheel arch, does it have anywhere to drain back onto the road?
b) How can it be permanently fixed?
c) Should I contact a panel beater, who perhaps could patch the hole?

It sounds as though you need a new front guard
Or possibly a guard liner
This may be worth an insurance claim
If its the plastic liner inside the guard, water will drain from the space in behind easily.
If you are in Auckland

The car is a 2002 NB and it does have a plastic liner. The hole starts about 2 cm above the mud guard.

that doesnt look too bad. you could get the guard fixed fairly easily by one of those paintless dent removal guys like above. then just replace the plastic liner. if it were me i would attack it with a hair dryer to soften the paint the gently bend it back with a big adjustable spanner....
