So while I was removing my cam cover I managed to destroy the breathing hose that goes from the engine cover to the intake pipe. It had gone hard and ended up cracking as soon as I tried to pry it off.
Where would I be able to get a replacement hose, are there quality ones that won't go hard and brittle, and do they come in any other colours other than black?
Thanks

Also while I'm on the topic of parts breaking and stuff... where does this go? I think I have it left over from when I had the covers off painting them. I thought it was a random piece of rubber lying in the garage and not from the car... Quite possibly a good thing I haven't been able to start the car.

Do you mean the hose that goes from the PCV valve to the inlet? If so it is usually a shaped hose from Mazda. (Any colour you like as long as it is black)
You may be ably to find something in coloured silicone that would do the job but not sure where.

Phew, I didn't touch the sump so I'll stick with my original assumption that the pieces of rubber I found on the floor of my garage were there to begin with...
I think I'll go put an order through from Mazda for the hoses then since I got told that silicone hoses won't be sufficient. Hopefully I can find something soon though.
