Can anyone tell me what a 1.8 NA 5 speed revs should be when you are doing 100KPH Cheers

From memory mine revs around 3500 and I always seem to wish for a 6th gear when going long distances on the open road.

Hi my 2004 1.8 6 speed does 100k at 3000rpm

The 1.8 NA has a 4.1: axle ratio and a 0.814:1 5th gear.
Depending on what tyres you have: 185/60x14 = 551rev/km, 195/55x14 = 558rev/km (according to the Miata.net tyre size calculator)
At 100km/h on 185/60s the revs will be: 551x4.1x0.814x100/60 = 3065

I finally took my car out for a drive NA8C and I rev at 3250 at 100kph, 3500 at 105kph and 3750 at 110kph (speedo speeds which I know read fast based on the gps and my other car).

Thanks Angreal that is the same as mine revs at those speeds.
i was mislead by being told it should rev at 3000rpm at a 100kph but I have found out that is for a 1.8 six speed
