I ran the cables under the number plate, and up through the front of the car. Obviously try to avoid the cables hitting the radiator at any point if you try this, probably wont be too good for the wires
!The wire you are after for the 12V is blue, and has a blue connecter on the end, I cut this connector off and exposed the wires and connected the lights to this wire with the red insulator as you can see in the pic.
