Hi guys first post and new here great forum I must say, anyway hopefully I can get some help on my purchase of our first MX5.
I'm looking to buy a new car for the wife and she has narrowed it down to a 1998-2000 MX5 we are looking at 2 models the V-Spec and the RS both have 1800cc motors and 6 speed boxes, however I can not find any thing on the net re the difference between the 2 models other than the V-Spec has leather seats and a tan roof and part dash, whats the difference between to 2 and which out of both models is the better one and would be the most desirable.
Cheers Stephen

I agree with brownie it all comes down to what you like
If you want my advice I would just drive a few of them and pick the one that feels best just remeber to check the condition of the soft top because thats an expensive fix but otherwise if its been looked after kms don't matter at all really
I bought a 98' RS and i love it!

Cheers guys for the advice.
I was sent a PM by one of the admin and it seems to be the difference between the RS and VSpec is that the RS should have a stiffer suspension set up and a more sporty ride and the VSpec would be more suited to touring, as I all ready have a Lotus 7 replica that I drive a lot we will go for the VSpec I think.
