glass vs plastic window

About to order a new hood from UK, choice of glass or plastic window....I don't have any wiring for demister, so that advantage doesnt count. What other pros and cons should guide my choice?

Go for glass-the plastic ones can scratch/fade even break if you try to put them up or down when cold[mine did].

Have to agree with previous post glass is a good option. Prior to getting a glass window I had two previous plastic ones replaced. However, my car isn't garaged so that may account for some of the deterioration. Haven't looked back since having glass and always a much clearer rear view

i must say the glass window in my hard top works wonders during the winter (and most of the rest of the year)

I'm about to replace my top shortly and there is no doubt in my mind that I
will be opting for the glass option

Just found a really neat looking 3 window top on ebay (search under daveshouze) plastic windows, but will give similar 3/4 rear view as my hardtop. The thing I dislike about the stock top is the limited 3/4 vision and that'll likely be worse still with glass as the opening is smaller I think

If it is the one I'm thinking of - they have been around a while I'm told they don't last long. The side plastic windows have to fold... and they really don't like it.
