to start with its on na6
the problem i'm having at the moment is when i open and/or close driver side window, it makes a squeaky sound as well as leaving some minor scratches. and it's external side window, not interior side... making it even worse for me to part out to have a look...
can you guide me where to start from?

Asked around and 2 options seem to be a) some dirt has gotten betweem the window and felt, or b) that felt material could be worn through and the backing plate is scratching the window.
Is this a recent thing or gradual?

yeah it just started to happen 2 days ago
i've pulled out the interior door trim to figure it out but not much i could see from that angle as the scratches were from the outside rather inside
what would be your suggestion? should i try to pull out the whole window first and go from there?

can you hear it scratching as you wind it?
If you can't see obviously from any direction then you might have to pull out the glass. Could be as little as some abrasive dirt stuck in the felt. Maybe blow out with airgun and see if that fixes it?

This happened on my wifes NA. The problem was the rubber weather strip on the out side had hardened and eaventually tore off. New rubber weather strips cured the problem completely. Cheers

could be the the bolts holding the mounting for the window frame internal to the door have come loose too - meaning the the window geometry is not correct
