The wifes mx has got standard 14" mazda wheels fitted but
i was thinking of getting some thing a bit bigger as i thought it would look nicer and fill the arches more.
1) do i have to worry about offsets on the wheels i buy?
whats the offset on the stock wheels?
2) how much will bigger dia rims effect the speedo reading and
is there a way round it ?
3) how big would people reccomend? (15's, 16's, 17's) is there a size thats too
big and will need spacers to stop it rubbing?

I wouldnt go bigger than 16" or you may get "Tramlining". pcd=4x100 and offset around the 35-38mm mark. When you go bigger diameter, just lower the profile of the tyre to get a similar overall size. Changes over 5% should have speedo re-calibrated and may need certification. see http://www.alloywheels.com/TyreCalc.asp or http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html cheers stevo
