If you just want to get rid of the power steering, it is possible to "depower" the power steering system. All you need to know is here -

The manual rack is a different ratio (slightly slower) than the PS rack so if you still want the same quick ratio you are better off "depowering" a PS rack. You just might need a few trips to the gym for parking and 3 point turns though.

looked at that possibility, but the the rack is still to bulky for my application and ive heard that the manual steerers realy arent that heavy.
