de-powered power steering?

Post by jif » Thu Feb 28, 2008 1:17 pm

hi all

so I de-powered my steering rack recently. No problems, and quite enjoying it even.

But now the garage is telling me that they can't give it a WOF like this ... anyone heard of this before ??

Hi Jeff,

They shouldn't be able to see it is depowered.

How did they spot it?

Anthony.

The disconnected lines are (artfully) arranged in the engine bay? So, err, yeah there's nothing subtle about it :P

Went to the wrong place for a WOF?

Seriously though, did they say why? Any specific reference or just 'dangerous modification'?
