A debt of honour, Upholstery

Went to lower the lid this morning and the tag on the window zip broke off in
my hand.

(To the driver of GRTMX5, who waved at me and PURLEE, that's why I was not
"Top Down")

So I rang up Al's Upholstery to see if they could fix it. It seems that Al has
not been well and has disconnected his cellphone number, which has been taken
up by an enterprising competing upholsterer, one Tim McPherson of All Care
Upholstery in Ashfield St Glenfield.

I don't know if Al is still in the business, however I came to a deal with Tim
that he would fix my zip for free, if I gave him a mention on the list, and
this is it. However, I am actually happy to do it on merit, he did a quick,
good job on my zip and some of the other work in his shop is impressive.

Al is, of course, a club sponsor and we should therefore support him, in
preference to anyone else. However, if he is no longer available, then I
believe Tim might be a suitable replacement, he has indicated that he would
match Al's prices and discounts, is experienced with the MX5 and would be
prepared to take up Al's sponsorship of the club if Al is not in a position to
do it.

Perhaps the committee could check this out with Al in the first instance.
