ooh - are you offended? golly!!!!

well, one kills people lyndon, and often more than the just person
driving irresponsibly.
what offends you in my taking someone to task for bragging about
driving at 70kph over the speed limit?
have you ever had to pull bleeding screaming and dying people out of a
smashed car due to a high speed head on?
probably not, id guess, obviously it's one experience bill hasn't had
yet either.

please accept my heartfelt apology lyndon, and i'll try my level best
not to talk harshly to people who have never witnessed the effects of
their total disregard for fellow drivers.

None of yours, or the others, comments offend me. However, there have been
about 20 responses to Bill's original post, all of which say much the same
thing. I think that Bill probably has a clear understanding of your point of
view, and you of his.
Lyndon.
P.S. - Ken, "ooh - are you offended? golly!!!"
Many thanks for bringing a smile to this poor old face, the last time I
heard a response like that it was from my daughter when she was about 14
year old . There, now I'm smiling again (thanks again). I'm sorry if my
point of view conflicts with yours, but I'm afraid life is like that. I
would ask you to try to drop the sarcasm though - if you can.

Don't assume what you don't know Ken.

And since you are not Daniel Webster I doubt you have authorisation to
define "irresponsible" either. But hey, like I said before, feel free to
ramble on mate - or perhaps better yet put the top down on your MX5 and
drive it to the diary and treat yourself to a litre of milk (I drink
about 1 litre every night -I love it).

Regards
Bill

well -if you don't think driving at 170 kph on public roads is
irresponsible, it's not really discussing this further is it?
you win.

One final comment perhaps.

Driving at 170km/h does not require balls,
Pulling mangled bodies from the wrecks which occur from that type of driving
does not require balls
What requires balls is to go up to a front door at 10.00 PM and tell some
lovely, pregnant, young woman that her husband, and the father of her baby
will not be coming home any more, because some arrogant idiot like Bill has
just killed him.

That takes balls my friend, because you will carry the load of that meeting
for the rest of your life. I know that from personal experience.

Bill, if you think that you have the balls to face the widow of the man you
kill then good luck to you, or maybe, with an attitude like yours, you just
don't care.

For God's sake man, grow up!

I spent my Xmas day helping to pull 3 dead young girls out of the Awakino river after a modern people carrier van failed to take a corner. It was driven by "an experienced" driver, I help clean up after jerks like this all the time.
If you want to endanger me and mine save your arrogant heroics for the race track, where you can race the clock, and not endanger others. People on this list, and I bet many other Kiwi's have gone out of their way to help you. I don't think it takes "Balls" to drive at those speeds and endanger our families and friends.
