Ok, I'm going to get chucked off the list...AGAIN!

How about "Trade it in and buy a DB9"

Having spent that much money, you just about could!

you missed a few things...

- "stage 1 lightening" delete spare tyre, radio, tow hooks etc
- "stage 2 lightening" lighter seats and exhaust. Forged wheels.
- better brake pads lighter and cheaper than big brakes.
- tyres My mate had a great time when mud+snows were on his red'90
oversteer city! Others may prefer grip...
- limited slip diff :)
- voodoo knob :)
- hardtop (file under body bracing)
- aggressive alignment

... and leave the wife behind, maybe it'll be like a holiday, hoho... ;)

Well, the best way to SHED weight is to stick with a girlfriend and not a
wife, there's at least 10kg saving there alone. But does sound like a good
set-up (the original list I mean).

Well I'm tall and handsome, will I do? <g>

There are some lightweight V8s which won't upset the balance. One of our UK
members has a Rover V8 in his MkI and apparently is the same weight as the
Mazda 1800. There's also a Kiwi been on the UK forums showing off his Lexus
V8 equipped MkI. Even though I'm a supercharged V8 fan, ex Jag XJR and SL55
AMG owner, I personally I think the car deserves an FM Turbo with exhaust
and suspension... So that's what's on my todo list.
