Driver Training Day at Manfield

Post by Paul Murray » Sun Feb 13, 2005 9:28 am

Congratulations Keith and all the club members who gave their time and
effort in this well organised and well run event. It was a very enjoyable
experience and great to see so many mx5's all in one place. I for one will
always remember how effectively the brake and swerve manoeuvre can be
carried out. Once again, well done and thank you. Regards

Yes, that was lots of fun and very interesting.

And, as it was my first club event, I've never seen so many together at
once before. So many different colours and shapes and modifications. And
that was just the drivers...

Thanks to the organisers for putting in the work.

Another thank you to everyone.

What an excellent day, well run, and I learned lots.

Heaps of help and time on the track, plus everyone driving well and no
incidents made a great day.

The cars all well turned out, and driven with lots of sprit was great to
see.

the link below has a pic of the cars on the grid - if you missed getting a
photo or missed the day.

Driver Training Day at Manfield

We've just got back from Feilding, earlier this evening. An excellent weekend was organised and enjoyed by all...congrats to all involved in the making (especially Annette and her 'hot sausage').
Gazza, it wasn't all that far away, we covered 1179km from Mt Wellington to home in Browns Bay. Getting back north from Feilding was one of the highlights of the weekend as we took State Highway 3 all the way home. We left at 9:30 and pulled into our garage at 20:40. Long leisurely lunch and plenty of coffee breaks en route! Great fun (it must have been good, my missus even enjoyed herself...but that had something to do with her doing some track laps I think :0) !!

Oh yeah, and it only rained for a while on Saturday morning...I looked like a beetroot all day sunday as proof that the sun shone!
