How hard is it to replace the side mirrors?

Post by MrGrey » Mon Feb 04, 2013 4:10 pm

yet more questions from me :P

my car came with (what I assume) are aftermarket mirrors and I was contemplating replacing them at some point with original style mirrors.

how hard are they to replace?
any tips, tricks or pointers you could mention for mirror replacement?

thanks in advance for your feedback

Sorry - they should be fairly easy :) The Stock ones are 2 screws, see if you can get the cover off.

I'm glad I did ;)

Okay serious response. It looks like the black cover (possibly a cover) can be flipped off with a screwdriver.

Easy to replace.Flip back the cover and unscrew.
Make sure you use a no3 Phillips screwdriver as heads are machine screw heads are bigger than standard.
No need to remove the inner panel as nuts are welded inside the door shell.
If you need standard mirrors I have them.
