no spark no.2 and no.3 cyl help needed asap
no spark on cyl 2 and 3
, 1 and 4 are fine, coils primary and secondary have acceptable resistance (against w/shop manual)
ecu has nott burnt blocks, nor any burns underneath the board
fuses are all fine.
......any ideas whats causing it?

cheers, makes sense that one coil is getting signals and one not.SLYDIT wrote:ignitor module?
by the way DO NOT pull the leads and crank the engine to check for spark...you will F*** the coil packs
oh and also the wiring loom to the coils can get damaged on the rear of the inlet plenum where it is is cable tied to the plenum
used a tester for the spark, the large gap tends to make a hot spark and fu*ks the coils really good. over time obviously

theres been more than a few stories of cars going into workshops with something like a cas fault and when fault finding, the mechs have fried the coils...i wouldnt chance it.
not having the path to earth for the coil voltage causes the voltage in the coilpack to skyrocket. the insulation in the coil internals cannot withstand this extreme voltage and they die. cars which seem to eat coilpacks need to have the engine earths looked at.
