New race class for Sports cars

The Sports Car Club of NZ are looking at putting together a low key race series for open top sports cars. The current plan is that the Series will be contested over 6 rounds at one day Clubmans events at Pukekohe and Hamptdon Downs. The proposed rules are not very strict and look like this:

Aim:
- To provide a Series which is fun and (instructional) to develop driving and racing skills.
- To encourage novices and experienced drivers with cars or abilities that are not suited to the NZ Sports Car Series, or more serious racing.

Classes:
0 – 1600 normally aspirated
1601 – 2000 normally aspirated
over 2000, or cars which have forced induction

As this is a series aimed at novices and or slower cars we are looking at cars/drivers that would circulate in the following lap times.
Pukekohe: Between 1:12.0 and 1:22.0
Hampton Downs: Between 1:20.0 and 1:30.0
Proposed Rules:
- This is a Sports Car Series and as such cars need to be open top with no “soft tops” erected whilst racing. No hard tops.
- No closed coupes
- Cars have to be 2-seaters, not 2 plus 2
- Race cars such as Mallock U2's are eligible, but no wings or slicks.
- Cars will need to comply with Motorsport regulations which require MSNZ approved roll protection, fire extinguisher, MSNZ log book etc.
- Participants need to be SCCNZ members and will need to hold a National racing license.
- Overalls and an approved helmet are also required.

Timing will be by transponder. Transponders can be purchased or hired.

Series entry fee of about $30.00. A separate entry fee would also be payable for each race meeting which would be set by the organisers.
Chocolate fish per race and round wins

Im trying to think what Roadster 2 seaters are around that would qualify for the class?
On trademe i found Mazda MX-5, MG-F, Daihatsu Copen, BMW Z3, BMW Z4, Ford Capri, Honda S2000, Mercedes SLK, Toyota MR-S,

What else is there? AC Cobra replicas? Porsches? Corvettes?

I'd forget the wheezy Ford Capri that uses the Ford Lazer floor pan and running gear...
Bang for buck I would say the Honda S2000 would be a go...

Dont forget the mazda 323 cabriolet and some RX7 convertables (some were 2 and not 2+2)
