MX5's everywhere!

Post by Quidam » Sat Sep 05, 2009 1:05 pm

Funny how as soon as you become an (enthusiast) owner you start noticing MX-5's everywhere.

Beautiful sunny day here in Wellington today, and I saw no less than 4 MX-5's on my commute out to Porirua and back this morning.

One of them even smiled at me :D

Ill always wave at NA and NB owners. Id say 50% of the time I get a wave back. I only take mine out on weekends on the fun roads though, so likely most of the 5s I see are enthusiast owned too.

Yeah, fun roads is what it is all about for sure. Going from Wainui to Porirua, I get to start with the "Hill" :D then some motorway, then over the haywards, then some twisty coastline, then a bit more motorway to finish it off. On a nice day like today, it's a great little drive!

speaking of the Wainui Hill, it gives me a clear reality check that I'm a pretty averge (or chickenshit) driver because there are guys driving what I can only call wrecks who go down that hill so fast I just can't figure out for the life of me how they stay on the road
