When I had mine done they pulled the seats out then tapped the rails down
from inside. Passed O.K. too.

Back to an old topic:

I got my thoroughly roadrashed chassis rails fixed by John at
Parkside Auto, Morgan St Newmarket. $200+gst. They pulled
down all the dents, welded all the splits, bogged and painted over.
The WOF guy says it looks fine.
