So I have rounded one of the seat bolts trying to put my mazdaspeed seat in.....
Am I correct in thinking the only way to get this bolt out is to weld a nut on top of the stuffed bolt then get it out from there?
Ideas?

I assume you don't have the room to cut a groove in the top with a hacksaw and use an impact driver?
there are a few products that could help like bolt grab by Irwin tools (I priced a set from work at about $70 but am unsure if that was retail or my discount price)

welding a nut onto it would work, just be careful you don't start a fire from any weld spitting.

I'm not familiar with the bolts YET as I have only had to sit in my seat or dry it from water leak.
You may be able to hold with some locking vice grips.
If you need to weld a nut on a mig will adhere quicker and with less heat disappationthan an arc welder. Plenty of wet rags around, carpets pulled back etc etc. have someone assist .
There are multi fit sockets available which are full of spring loaded pins. These retract around the distorted head and increase the friction applied to bolt head.
If all else fails you could convert to left hand drive, Ditch the seat and have somewhere to put more beers for track day.

Guessing its the hard to reach gearbox side one?
I did the exact same thing when removing my seat, had to borrow my mates koken socket set which is designed for removing rounded bolts/nuts
Will try find a pic of what they look like
Edit found it. They are koken nut twisters

I used to go out with a nut twister but I don't think she could help with the seat removal. (FYI she never twisted my koken)
....... wait, what are we talking about again?
