Where to get Supercharger kit in Nz or into NZ
Hi guys,
I'm looking into supercharger options for an NA Mx5
So far in my searches I've seen that the Fast Forward Supercharger is a good kit to get - do they ship to Nz?
Anyone else got a supercharger kit from somewhere?

I quite like the simplicity of the Supercharger kit/install - I've also been told that for a street car the power you get out of the supercharger is usually a fair amount. I don't plan on trying to build a 300 hp Turbo race car - just something fun for around the streets and on weekend blasts.
Will keep it all in mind though
I got a reply from FFS - they quoted about $350USD for shipping NZ

a turbo is just as easy (if not easier) to install than a SC kit. (most) superchargers are a pain to make any decent HP out of and many have very limited upgrade options. Sure there are a small number of people who have pushed the envelope but a turbo is better in nearly every way. the ONLY reason SC kits were popular for MX5's is because back in the 90's the ECU technology wasnt up to the task and the linear delivery of the SC meant that band aid tuning solutions could be used...now fast forward into the 21st century ....
a 200WHP turbo system is going to achieve full boost at around 2500-3000rpm and will snap to full boost in a fraction of a second at anything over that. turbo lag is a long gone thing of the 80's turbos. if someone is driving at under 2500 rpm....then maybe an auto v8 is more thier style. ive been in several SC'd cars and been underwhelmed by everyone. the HP per dollar just doesnt stack up.

You are very welcome to come and drive my car (in Auckland) I agree with some of the above comment but not all.
I love my S/C car in every way and I doubt with my set up there would be a turbo car out there anywhere near what I spent on mine but each to there own.
My car makes the mx5 what it should have been, Quick.
But it does not make it a FAST car. Quicker than standard, hell yes.
Tire frying speed demon. no
