i finally got 5 minutes down time at work so i fabricated the first roll bar mounting point up by the seat belt reel similar to the hard dog mounts.
what a pain in the arse getting it all lined up.... HOPEFULLY i can get the roll bar to fit and keep the hard top latches, but its gonna be close as.

Looks good. Perhaps if your lip was silver Or if your roof was black .. might even it out somehow.
Or a black bonnet stripe that runs the lenth of the car....
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

I maintain a few build threads, so for anyone who cares, I tend to copy paste my updates here... Repco part#JB4225, Silverline slave (only thing it doesn't replace is the pin)

For anyone who hasn't heard my bitching, on the way to NIMM I noticed my clutch was a bit funny... Got to Taupo, parked at the house, enjoyed some brews, moved car in the morning and there was a MASSIVE puddle of brake fluid. At this point, I assumed I had a leak, didn't race, got her home (just) and managed to park her up. 2 days later, she was back to normal, weird! Assumed it was air/whatever, bled it and went about my business. Woke up this morning to my pedal going to the floor with shit everywhere underneath and realised I had to fix her.

The current one looked like this
Image
WP_000257 by Jarred McLachlan, on Flickr

Went about my business, dad popped over with a couple of spanners I didnt have, and I quickly realised I couldn't break the 2 bolts holding it in. WD40 and still nothing. Not much room to move and I don't have a flexi extension (So buying one now!) so used a trusty extension on the end of my spanner!

Luckily, I'd already got a spare slave from Repco, looks like this

You reuse the pin with these and it was in pretty good nick after a clean anyway so wasn't concerned, the slave I got came with a new boot.

And that was that. All better. Just took her for a 100km thrash (This is how I remind myself that skinned knuckles and empty wallets are worth it), and not a bit of drama from the girl. Love it.

Also you may remember I did some boring CAD drawings, well Andrew came to the party and shipped it in a matter of days (Love you, no homo).

Test fitting, and choosing mounting hardware this morning

First update next year contains aero :D
