Now that we're finally on the topic of lights... Has anyone done the low profile headlight mod? I'm keen to get my headlights lower and square!!! I'm keen for some MR2 lights or something in there without paying 500 euro (no matter how low the euro is, it's too hight)!!!

The oven trick worked. Took a bit to get right. Needed to run it hotter than I was. But once that was sorted they came off after a few trys. The lenses are fully wedged in there real nice n deep like. I cracked one of the little mounts on the lens up, but once I reheated the sealant it seems to hold it tight enough. Just gotta hope its still water tight!

I looked at it a while ago but decided it was too expensive as well & too much hassle to fab something because they need to be adjustable for direction both vertically & horizontally for the WOF....its not like the lights are up all the time & i prefer the factory look when they are closed now.

I have done low profile lights on my one, twin 90mm round one's, haven't got a photo of them yet, or the price to make them up, but should have both in the next couple of weeks. The lights them selves were about $350-$400USD if I remember, and these were Hella units. Couldn't buy the Hella units in NZ, Hella said they wouldn't bring them in (know someone who knows one of the reps at Hella) and Narva units were going to be 2 or 3 times as much if I bought them here.

Will post a photo of the lights hopefully next week or the week after

kieran - instead of forking out like $80.00 for a 90 degree bend. Go to Bunnings and get some PVC Plumbing pipe, cheap as chips and works all the same!

Do you need 2.5" or 3" bend, Kieran? I have some joiners lying around, I'll see what I have. I know I have a 2.5" in 90 degree but dunno about 3"
Cool sunroof bro...

I did a very quick job, heated it up with a heat gun, and PVC pipe over the AFM intake then a clamp (the circle screw thingy) from Super cheap. Worked a dream! Until I screwed my afm..

Contemplated buying these http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u41116001 but have enough restraint to not part with that much money. Figure I'll give this a go http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=426283

Yeah. I thought it was just a tad excessive. Will attempt to retrofit in some eventually for less

Just a word of warning, a depowered rack will fail a WOF if it is spotted. Its fairly obvious when the lines have been looped...
