I have just bought a 1991 Roadster Eunos with the V-Special package, i.e.
the chrome external mirrors, electric windows, mags, etc. It didn't come
with a manual and I can't work out how to adjust the external mirrors. They
look like they should be electric but I can't find a control. Anyone know
how?

Adjusting external mirrors
Electric mirrors on a 91? Unlikely, but then I've been wrong before. Any
chance of a photo so we can check?
If it looks like this http://www.mx5mart.co.nz/photos/chrome_mirror.jpg then
they are manual.
The electric ones have a thicker & wider 'stalk' - I've found a pic of a 94

quite hard to tell though, unless someone has a better pic handy?

Jeff,
As far as I know they aren't electric. They are the same as the standard mirrors, but chromed.

Adjusting external mirrors
I have the same 91 model and the mirrors are certainly NOT electric. They
are however difficult to adjust (stiff, rigid, etc). Has anyone experienced
this same problem and if so what have you done to solve it?

Adjusting external mirrors
Hi All,
I had the same problem with our 93 & finished up removing the mirror
glass very carefully, not an easy operation. The swivel joint in the inside
was rusted up, dismantled & took to it with wire buff. Drilled a hole to let
water drain out, with countersink on the inside, put plenty of anti-seize
grease on the pivot, painted it up. Went to local glass man & he has special
glue to stick it back together again. Just make sure that you tighten it
enough to stop it being floppy. You don't even notice the drain hole from
the outside. If you accidentally break the glass you can get a new one cut.
The glass is not available from Mazda only the complete mirror which is
quite expensive.Ours has been ok now for about 20 months & it is easy to
adjust.
Cheers Brent.
