Hi Ian,
I would appreciate some ideas on the best way to hang a hard top. Mine is
currently taking up a third of my living room floor. Though I love the
sight of it, I think hanging it in the garage would be a better place for
it!
Thanks.
Alex.

Hanging your hard top
Hi Alex,
I know exactly what you mean as my hard top was a huge obstacle on my garage
floor before I finally hung it on the wall. All I did to hang it was space
two dyna bolts (Concrete walls in my garage) to match up with the rear
mounts of the hard top. Once the bolts were secure, I simply slotted the
hard top onto the wall. Obviously the heads of the bolts need to be larger
that the slots so it doesn't slide off. Pretty much you are just
replicating the same rear mounts as on the car - except vertically. I hope
that makes sense and helps with ideas.
Cheers,
John

Hanging your hard top
Has anyone other than myself, found it easier to simply rest a slightly
cushioned from your garage floor to prevent damage, the hardtop side
that gets latched to the windshield, and lean the other side that
attaches against the car body against your garage wall, again cushioned
with something (a towel, etc) to prevent any damage??
Walla, no time, money or need to leverage the laws of physics to store
the hardtop!!!

I hang mine from the garage ceiling and find it the absolute best... I
can install or remove the top by myself in about 3 minutes flat, no
hassle.
I got the hanging harness from Rex Findlay (09 521 1410) who has made
and sells a much cheaper Kiwi version of the American one. Works really
well.
