M45 supercharger?

Post by warrior » Wed Aug 10, 2011 8:53 pm

I am in the process of looking for a supercharger setup for my 1991 NA. I am looking at a toyota setup someone has for sale on trade me and will be going for a test drive soon. I am also looking into bringing a m45 kit in from the states as the money has never been better. What I need is to find a kind sole with this setup in there car so I could have a look and a quick drive to find out which one is best for the money. So if there is anyone out there that would be kind enough to let me have a drive please let me know......cheers.

very happy. :D just using the power card supplied with the kit. Had it on the dyno with 152hp at wheels. Tried smaller pully on supercharger to increase boost but ran a bit lean, dyno guy was happy but I wasn't so removed it. Needs megasquirt or similar if I want to go down this path, jets and maybe inter cooler. Probably only gain about 20hp so not bothered. Fast Forward now have the M62 cold side for the 1600 and I would have gone for that if it had been available at the time. Have fun, you'll love it. :D

I have decided to go with the m45 supercharger and get most parts except the following

1. The dummy throttle body that bolts on the supercharger before the mx5 throttle body.

2. The mounting brackets that the supercharger bolts to the car with.

If anybody knows where I can get these parts from please let me know

I can make the brackets so no big probem there but without the throttle body I am a bit stuck. I have asked MOSS motors (twice) but they havent got back to me yet.

Try Track Dog Racing also. They still have the complete kit listed so should have parts as well. Keep this thread going with your progress. :D

Have contacted both trackdog and moss but they have both told me the kits are not available. They have most parts but am still stuck for the dummy throttle body....without this part I cant do much. I can make the brackets up myself but dont really know where to go from here with the throttle body.

Have a talk to Dan Slater at Slater Fabrications (09 4433252). If you know what you need he may be able to make something for you to do the job.
